Short Story about You and your role in tourism

I am originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, but I grew up in Cape Town where I studied Tourism, Digital Marketing and Tourism Management and gained valuable experience within the industry.

I am presently employed as FIT Sales Consultant with Terra Nova Tours, where I have gained a reputation not only for my impressive work rate and integrity, but also for my sales skills. Moreover, I am a self motivated individual, who is able to perform well under pressure and who can bring to the table solid capabilities in the areas such as excellent customer service and adaptability.

What I like most about South Africa is its mix of epic landscapes, vibrant cultures and myriad of interesting traditions making each day in Africa a unique one! I love my job because I get to see so much of Southern Africa, meet many different people and giving our guests a holiday experience of a lifetime.

FIT Sales Consultant

  • Design and preparation of travel itineraries in Southern Africa for FIT clients based on the very best services that fit clients’ brief, budget, needs and capabilities.
  • Design and cost Leisure Travel programs within Terra Nova’s Destination portfolio.
  • Ensure that the entire process which includes client brief, itinerary design, booking implementation, accounting and execution of each itinerary are in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Correspond via e-mail and telephonically with clients regarding the programs offered and deal with any questions, information required, obstacles and special requirements timeously.
  • Encourage the clients to send their enquiries to enable the opportunity to quote a suitable program thus increase tourism in Southern Africa.
  • Invoicing of client travel program.
  • Find a solution and take immediate action on any issues, client complaints, staff requirements keeping the Team leader informed in a structured manner.
  • Meet the year-end Sales Target set out for Sales Consultant set at the start of each financial year.
